gnome-session-canberra software package provides GNOME session log in and log out sound events, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-session-canberra
gnome-session-canberra is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-session-canberra package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-session-canberra *
You will get with gnome-session-canberra package name, version, architecture and description in a table
